**November 2021 UPDATE: As a result of no longer being able to obtain golden raspberries, we have made the decision to switch to red raspberries and Cornish Apache Chillies. We trialled this recipe in 2016 and it is, if anything, even better! Stock is available NOW**

The heat and sweet blend which can transform even the simplest leaf salad

Suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets. Bring a hint of heat to all kinds of salads, both leafy and fruity. Now that we have had to switch to using red raspberries, we can no longer boast our success as winners of Gold*** at Great Taste Awards 2014 and Top 50 and the Nigel Barden Heritage Award, but we are confident this will soon be another award winner. This vinegar is the perfect accompaniment to poached fish and is guaranteed to liven up any catch of the day.

@LoveFoodFest Ned is loving the golden raspberry and apache chilli dressing I bought from you. We are having a winter salad with it: not bad for a 6 yr old who hates chilli ;) he's converted! Thank you!

I get a kick out of you...

Love to add this when anything needs a bit of a kick and a hint of sharpness. Salad dressing is great but also great in fish dishes. Add it to Thai dressings and use with trout, mackerel, salmon etc. All of the vinegars that I’ve tried are wonderful. They lift a dish to the next level. Two new flavours (to me) arrived today - can;t wait to try them.

Taste tingling!

Golden Raspberry and Apache vinegar is superb, I confess to sipping it straight from the bottle....I love it so much! I use it for salads, roast toppings, sandwiches, desserts, drinks... in fact I use all the vinegar varieties in all areas of cooking. The taste tingling favours of the vinegars really inspire my recipes..... the only problem is choosing what to buy when I replenish stocks...

I've never liked vinegar

I was wary of trying this and other Wormersley vinegars because I just don't like the taste of vinegar. How different these are to 'vinegar'. No acid taste, just gentle, subtle flavours. All different but still very tasty.

This golden raspberry and apache chilli has the slightest edge of hotness to it.

We use Womersley almost every day

We dress plain salads with a dash of Womersley, olive oil and pepper and salt: that’s all! Brilliant! When friends eat with us, we’ve come to expect the question “what is that on the salad?” or in the sauce or whatever. "Womersley," we tell them! One relation never ate salad: he does now! When very young, our daughter used to pick a leaf from the salad bowl, lick off the dressing, then put the leaf back in the bowl: what style!
We reckon Golden Raspberry & Chilli is probably our favourite and the litre bottles really help: we even top up friends’ bottles!
To us, Womersley Fruit Vinegars are simply a vital and much loved ingredient in our food. They enrich our food and our life: we couldn’t live without them.

Wonderful flavours

I have been a Womersley vinegars fan for nearly 20 years.
They have been so well received but my gusts, that they are now a standard gift to my girlfriends.
I've bought most of the various fruit flavours, but the Raspberry and chilli is now my first favourite.
Having travelled many miles to purchase them, I was delighted to learn I could buy directly on line and most importantly that rather than the very pretty, but small bottles, I can buy the 1 litre catering bottle - which again my girlfriends are more than happy to receive .
Thanks to Rupert and all at Womersley Foods for such stunning products.
Maybe am I biased because I was born in Yorkshire! - but no, even my southern friends love them too.!

tips for using our vinegars

Great for sweet or savoury dishes. Marinade meat, vegetables or fruit. Reduce a sauce. Tenderise meat or fruit. Splash into a glass of fizz or spring water. Drizzle over your favourite dish. Dress a salad combined with oil to impress your friends.

how we make our vinegars

Our fruit vinegars are made in Somerset with 5% white or spirit vinegar. We then infuse fruit and herbs, add British Sugar to fix the flavour and that's it! The overall impression is one of full fruity taste with a relatively mild vinegar effect.

All our products are vegan and vegetarian, though we don’t like to exclude meat eaters. Did you know you can also use them in drinks? We particularly love it in our Pickled Mary recipe.
